A (very cold!) winter’s dawn on the western end of Loch Earn/Lochearnhead on this relatively still morning. I was on my way to Glencoe but decided to stop off here on the way as the conditions very too great to simply pass by.
The mist was moving across the loch and slowly burning off with the rising sun and although I would have preferred some clouds in the sky as the icing on the cake, I was still very pleased with the results. I love how the rocks in the foreground and the side of the jetty are glowing from the dawn light.
I shot several images but decided to add a figure in the scene for this one so asked my friend to go out on the pier for this shot.
I prefer both the ones with a person in the scene and without and for this one decided on a panoramic format.
