The City Quay area has gone through a lot of changes in recent years with the redevelopment of office buildings, residential and leisure and there is still plenty more to happen and on calm night the reflections can be perfect.
I have taken many images of Dundee, including the City Quay, but there is always something different to get each time and this night was no different. I visited the spot with a group on one of my long exposure workshops as the sunset/little wind would make great conditions here and it did not disappoint.
Although the horizon was covered in think cloud there was still some lovely light in the sky and as the light faded in the sky and the street and building lights switched on, the area took on a different view and we were spoiled for choice in what to shoot.
In this image I decided to concentrate on the lines of the buildings new to the area as well as the North Carr Lightship and the Marigold which added a nice balance between the historic and modern and I like it even more because there are so many little images inside the bigger one.
