Last week I headed up to Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands late in the afternoon as a last minute decision when I had an evening free. It was not a planned trip by any means, I just decided at the last minute to venture out on a chance.
When I got to Glencoe, it was pretty bright and not the kind of conditions Glencoe is known for but I parked the car and went for a wander up the side of one of the hills to get a higher viewpoint of the peaks.
Long story short, it didn’t amount to much but as I was coming back down the curve of this part of the road disappearing round the corner caught my eye and so I spent a while capturing some of the cars coming and going round this bend. After a while, the skies started to get darker and there was short burst of rain and as it passed the hillside lit up for a few short moments and I made sure I got several frames of it.
During the time I was here, the midges made their presence known and the bites have been the worst I have ever experienced but for the images I got that evening, it was worth it.
