Most of you will be aware of my recent (and continued!) success recently in several of the competitions I have entered. One that I entered recently was the Dundee Photographer of the Year competition, also known as the Annual Photographic Competition (this year being the 44th).
This competition is sponsored by Dundee City Council and Dundee Photographic Society run it on their behalf. The following 3 images of mine won the Dundee Corporation Trophy (DCT), which were selected as the best 3 images of Dundee.
I was extremely pleased at winning and took home a trophy and vouchers as my prize but the response I got to my images was the biggest win of all. Fellow members of the club (especially those that have international reputations for their work) and indeed the public have given such a positive response and comments to my images that I feel very humbled.
The exhibition is currently running in the Central Library, Wellgate (until the 20th of March) of all the winning images from the competition and is worth checking out.
