I paid a visit to the Northumberland coast at the beginning of the month after having to get up early to drop someone off at Edinburgh Airport for a 7am flight. Seeing as I would have 2 hours until sunrise, I headed to Bamburgh Castle for my first visit to this location.
I managed to make it in time for the sunrise but as luck had it – a big dark cloud obscured the sunrise whilst the rest of the horizon was crystal clear! I didn’t give up though and made the most of it.
This is a long exposure showing the castle partially reflected in the low tide waters and is one of my favourite shots from the day because of the blurred water/sand and also the superb colours on the beach.View Image on Flickr
