On a recent visit to Loch Earn a few weeks ago, I was hoping that the jetty I photographed the last time had it’s wooden boards returned and the trip paid off!

The boards are normally removed during the winter in case they get ripped up by the wind/storm and cause damage to people/property and on this particular evening it was calm and the beautiful sunset was the icing on the cake.

My beautiful wife then sat on the end of the jetty for the following image (after checking it was safe to do so) in order to get this image I was after for some time. The photo is aptly titled “Contemplation” as my wife took the 250 seconds to take the shot to just relax and admire the sunset.

See, photography can be a relaxing and soothing affair…

Stunning work mate, one jetty i have never been to… the last time I was in Lochearnhead a nice policeman was writing me a speeding ticket!!… bad memories…
250 seconds, now that is good, it must have been almost dark!

Thanks David! The sun had set by this point so the long exposure captured as much of the remaining light as possible
